YouTuber Hank Green reveals cancer diagnosis

Popular educational YouTuber Hank Green has announced he is undergoing cancer treatment, according to a video posted on social media Friday morning.
Green, 43, shared the news of his diagnosis on his YouTube channel "Vlogbrothers", a channel shared by him and his brother John.
In it, he says he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, after going to the hospital to check out large bumps he noticed on his body.
However, Green appeared to be optimistic, saying that he's hopeful for recovery as it's considered very treatable.
" I have a friend, who amazingly enough, has been through a diagnosis and treatment, and remission and is ten years post with Hodgkin's lymphoma," Green said in a YouTube video. "It's been real nice to have that in my back pocket and ask questions."According to the American Cancer Society, Hodgkin's lymphoma is a rapid growth of cells that takes place in the body's lymph system, or part of the immune system. The disease has a five-year relative survival rate of roughly 89%.
Green has already made several posts on Twitter making light of the situation, sharing Friday afternoon that he'd already completed his first round of chemotherapy.
