Runes are items that you can find in the world in the Season of Discovery of WoW Classic. Runes can be assigned to equipment slots and give your character powerful passive effects. This WoW SoD Priest Runes guide explains which Priest runes are new in Phase 2, which Priest runes are already available in SoD, and how you can get them. Included are detailed descriptions of the Priest rune locations.

What Are the New Priest Runes in SoD Phase 2?

The following new Priest Priest runes have already been officially confirmed for SoD Phase 2:

  • East of the hill that lies east of Jerod’s Landing, you will find Adventurer's Remains (52 85). Right-click on it to summon a portal.
  • A second healing class player (e.g. Paladin Paladin or Priest Priest) must click on the portal, causing a friendly ghost to spawn and die. Everyone in the group can loot it and get Prayer of Mending Prayer of Mending.
  • Alliance Teldrassil:
  • Southwest of the Oracle Glade, you will find Adventurer's Remains (34 36). Right-click on it to summon a portal.
  • A second healing class player (e.g. Paladin Paladin or Priest Priest) must click on the portal, causing a friendly ghost to spawn and die. Everyone in the group can loot it and get Prayer of Mending Prayer of Mending.

  • In Ashenvale, climb the tree at (38 29). Use Primal Insight Primal Insight next to the dream catcher. You will receive Prophecy of Seven Visitors Prophecy of Seven Visitors.

    You get Serendipity Serendipity by completing three level 20 quests in the Season of Discovery as follows:

  • Go to Ratchet in the Barrens and talk to Grizzby in the Inn (62 39). For his quests, you have to collect the following materials:

      • Can be purchased from the Azeroth Commerce Authority faction once Honored Friendly has been achieved.
    • Horde Horde:
      • Can be purchased from the Durotar Supply and Logistics faction once Honored Friendly has been achieved.

    Which Priest Runes are the Best in SoD?

    Which runes are best for the Priest Priest class in the Season of Discovery depends on what role and spec you play. In our WoW SoD Priest Guide you will find a selection of builds with the best runes for each spec.

    How to Get Meditation Buffs in SoD?

    To learn the priest runes in SoD, at least one Meditation buff must be active. Some of the priest runes even require two active Meditation buffs. This is the case, for example, with Strength of Soul Strength of Soul, Circle of Healing Circle of Healing and Shadow Word: Death Shadow Word: Death.

    Meditation buffs last 4 hours (even after death). You can get a Meditation buff in WoW Classic by kneeling in a given location (with /kneel) and waiting briefly.

    You can get a Meditation buff in WoW SoD at the following locations. Important: You can only receive the buff that fits your race’s faith in this way.

    How to Get a Second Meditation Buff?

    You get a second meditation buff by kneeling in front of a Priest Priest of another faith who has a Meditation buff active. The other priest must then /pray while targeting you.

    Once you reach level 17, you can complete a short series of quests. This allows you to kneel in an allied race location and receive the corresponding meditation buff.
