Boise State men's basketball triumphs over San Francisco, securing a hard-fought victory at home

Boise State men's basketball held off San Francisco to claim the W.

The Broncos were able to keep San Francisco, one of the nation's highest-scoring teams going into Sunday's game, to under 60 points defeating them 63-58 putting the Broncos at 2-0 on the season so far.

Max Rice made back-to-back 3-pointers bringing the Broncos to a double-digit lead in front of the hometown crowd. San Francisco took an 8-0 run putting the score within one possession before Boise State's Chibuzo Agbo scored a lay-up to narrowly extend the lead.

“We had the largest crowd in November, and I like that,” said head coach Leon Rice. “We felt the crowd when USF made a run, they lifted us up and got us through those tough moments.”

The Broncos will be hitting the road to take on Clemson on Nov. 19 in South Carolina before heading to the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Fla. Nov.23- 26.
